The following changes are:
- 1 Product Added
- 0 Products Removed
- 208 Price Decreases
- 45 Price Increases
- 2 Prices Remain the Same
The 1 New Product added to the Drug Tariff is: Acitretin 5mg/5ml oral suspension
In summary, the November 2018 Specials Drug Tariff has shown a considerable decrease in the overall average sales price (now at £88.27) with big lines such as Omeprazole Suspensions, Melatonin Solutions and Spironolactone Suspensions showing decreases that will provide excellent value for the NHS moving into the new quarter. The November 2018 update has continued the trend of big price decreases across the product list and we predict that this trend will continue with prices getting even lower in the upcoming updates.
Rokshaw Laboratories also predicts that despite only 1 product has been added in the November update, the upcoming February 2019 update will see an addition of more lines to ensure that more prices are appropriately moderated across the Specials industry.
